Change Lives Make Money:
The Podcast For Online Trainers

EPISODE 600 - If you catch yourself not doing what you say you're going to do...

Hey, what’s up, everybody! 🔥🔥🔥

Today we are talking about what to do when you catch yourself not doing what you are supposed to do.

I know for me, this recently happened. I wanted to post three times a day on Instagram, one video a day on youtube, compete for my IFBB pro card, run PT Domination while trying to be a good husband and stepdad.

The truth is I tried to do all of this, but I started missing the mark consistently. ❌❌❌

I felt like I was failing. I knew I had to make a change.

So what do you do if you are slipping in your daily tasks and goals?

The first step is to take a step back and simplify.

Figure out what is most important to you because, for me, I thought I wanted to compete and get my IFBB pro card, but the truth is I hadn’t thought about it since the start of 2022.

Competing had to go, so I refocused and decided the most important thing to me was running PT Domination and being a good husband and stepdad.

Figuring out what is most important to you leads to the second step: finding out what no longer serves you and letting it go.

The big thing for me was letting go of the idea of getting my IFBB pro card because it just didn’t serve my goals of what I wanted, and maybe for you, it is working your dead-end 9-5 that is causing you to miss your daily goals as an online trainer.

The truth is you are not going to accomplish the things most important to you if you aren’t putting time out to do those things. You must know when to dig deep and let go.

The third step is going back to the basics. For example, if your goal was to post three times a day and keep daily stories with Instagram, then just post just once a day, five times a week.

It is vital to catch yourself early when you realize you are not stepping on your goals because it can spiral out of control quickly.

Lastly, after you start back to the basics of whatever your goal is, make time for self-care.

For me, it is going to my gym, putting in my headphones, getting in a great workout, and not looking at my phone.

It doesn’t have to be that for you. It could be a walk, yoga, massage, whatever you need to do to make sure you are taking that time for yourself.

At the core of all of this, when we find ourselves slipping on our integrity. It means we have too much on our plates. So figure out what is most important to you, drop whatever is not serving you, go back to the basics, and take time for self-care. 🔥🔥🔥
